Painting RC with Tdizzy – How to paint a rc vehicle body.
Tdizzy shows us how to paint a rc car body with spray cans. All the supplies in this video were purchased at HobbyTown. flame mask – www.xtownrc.com www.rcracingusa.net The tool that you will need for this How To: 1. Liquid soap 2. Water 3. A pencil 4. A clean towel 5. Masking tape Use fresh tape 6. Xacto knife 7. Lexan paint 8. Permanent marker 9. Denatured alcohol (You can get this at any hardware store, usually in the paint section). 10. Steel wool, wet sanding paper, or a scotch brite pad 11. Unpainted Lexan body When you have all these tools you are ready to begin. Prepare the body for paint Wash the inside of the body with liquid soap and water. Then rinse off all the soap, and dry completely with a clean towel. Find the window masks that came with your shell and stick them on the inside of the body using the window lines as reference points. Firmly press down on the edges of the window masks with your finger nails to ensure no bleeding of the paint. Once the windows are masked off take the steel wool, fine wet sandpaper or scotch brite padand scuff the inside of the body until it becomes cloudy. This step will help ensure that the paint adheres to the body and wont be noticed after the body is painted. (If you are using chrome paint do not include this step, this will cause the chrome to have a brushed finish). Drawing the Design Draw the design on the outside of the body using the permanent marker, and place a strip of tape on the inside of the body over the area …

@airsoftawesomeness Put the flame mask on, spray white 3-4 coats, remove the mask, and spray blue. As long as the white coats are good it shouldn’t show through.
im stupid but how could i make a white car body with blue flames on it? is it possible? cause u have to do dark to light please reply

@50nollieman Backing the paint is always a good idea. You can use any color you want. You don’t have to, but it helps keep the paint from being scratched. It also makes the color a little brighter or darker depending on the backer.
one more q do i have to add that white paint at the end?

@50nollieman I wouldn’t use anything other than paint made for lexan/acrylic. I think most big box stored carry paint for plastics(which might work.) Normal paint tends to peel off easily.
i have a question.can u use spray paint like the one u can buy off target or walmart?or lowes?
yea i have an rc car. i just took off al the stikers cause they were all faling off so i want to paint it. can i just take off the body and use amsking tape and spray paint? please reply
