I am looking for the kind of wool that was used in world war two era military coats. I have a WWII era Officer’s trench coat and to this day it is my primary winter coat. It was given to me by my uncle. It is in decent shape however I would like to know what kind of wool, i.e. grade thickness or specific type. That it was made of. My interest is more for my own personal information but it seems that the coat is such fine quality I wouldn’t mind getting one made like it simply newer if there comes a day when I have the funds to do so.
